Question:
Applying Make-Up?

I've never much been into fashion or make-up, but I've been trying to get into it and understand it lately.
When I do wear make-up, it's usually the stereotypical, black, gothic makeup. I'm looking for tips or how-to's on how to apply it, as well as what brands are best for that kind of make-up.
I'm rather lost :-/ My mother didn't really teach me much, growing up.

My mom didn't teach me either. If you have a sephora in your area, go there and they can teach you everything you need to know.

I have over $2000 worth of make up and I don't even wear make up, but I like to play in it.

My first suggestion is to buy brushes...You can get cheap ones. They work just as well. I didn't use them for a long time, but I found that I love them and it makes applying make up much easier.

Also, the more natural it looks, the better. Obviously goth is darker so just find you a dark color you like and have fun with it. Play around at night until you figure out the looks you like.

You can ask 100 different people how to apply make up and you will get 100 different answers.

Good luck and have fun...and like they told me at sephora...remember...it's just make up.

the best make up to use for that is probly mac..... i say that cause it stays on longe if your going for the gothic style. the eye liner is the best. mabeline has an awsome line of make up. if you were to use a mascara i would sugest usein their stuff. hip ins a new line. they have tons & tons of colors to choose from.

i will give you some links so you can kind of look around and get an idea!

I favored it. Reminds me of the Jack within the Box business with the stressful "new man" who maintains interrupting Jack. Finally Jack will get at the intercom and says "Get the brand new man..." he interrupts and says "a nook workplace" and Jack says "a severance kit." LOL That one fairly cracks me up!
