I have the liquid studio fix but its not the spray kind. I love the studio fix because one application its not very heavy. But if you let that set and wait a few minutes and apply another applicatioin then its FULL COVERAGE! Its awesome!



I had bare minerals before my MAC studio fix and it doesnt cover near as well and it also comes off really easily. Its good for medium to light coverage.



I do use the studio fix liquid and then use the bare minerals mineral veil as a translucent powder. It works lovely.



I highly reccommend the studio fix liquid.

i use mac- studio fix liquid its pretty heavy but i apply it really lightly and i cant live without it. without makeup i look scary a lot of scars but u can see anything with my makeup. never try bare minerals im sure its sucks compared to mac.

I use MAC Studio Fix and it was Wonderful!! It lasts all day and helps with oil.

I have tried both and liked them. However, using MAC Studio Fix is better, I feel, for 3 reasons: there is only one step to use MAC vs. several with Bare Minerals to achieve basically the same look.



There are many more shades to choose from in MAC and just about 3 shades with Bare Minerals, so a greater chance of matching your natural skin color.



MAC is much less expensive!

I use bare minerals for an everyday use (work) and MAC on the weekends only I use the studio fix powder...lover that stuff but is heavier to use everyday...so bare is a daily thing

It really depends on your skin I was using Bare Minerals for a long time and it made me break out and gave me dry patches on my face,I just started using MAC last week and so far I like it I got the MAC studio tech foundation.Also remember Bare Minerals have bismuth oxychloride in it that can cause irritation but you will not know until you try:)

Well I dont just use one brand, use a combo of what works best for you. I prefer MAC because they actually have color in their cosmetics....bare minerals does not...

use both! :) i also use bare minerals...and to make the foundation last all day i put a little liquid on frist as a primer or base :) hope i helped!

If you're looking for full coverage I would recommend that you not use the spray liquid foundation from MAC. It's a great foundation, I've been using it for a while now but if its coverage you want, this product won't be able to give that to you. For full coverage I would suggest their studio fix liquid foundation.



As for which one is better, MAC or Bare Minerals its really hard to say. I've used both and liked both but I find the minerals are best for me in the summer when I prefer to wear less makeup.

As the other answerers say, which is best for you depends on your skin type, coverage needed, attention to detail, and any other random things that effect makeup decisions. I never tried bareminerals because I've heard of a lot of people greaking out with it and it seems a lot of money to pay when there are cheaper alternatives out there. I've used Everyday Minerals (get their sample kit to start you off) and love them. That said, mmu is NOT good for dry skin. If you have dry skin, avoid powder foundation. MMU is usually great for me, but my skins been feeling pretty dry lately(whether due to the passage of years, makeup choices, or not drinking enough water :shrugs:) and my mmu just isn't cutting it. I also have the makeup attention span of a gnat and need constant change. I just picked up some studio fix liquid and am impressed with the medium coverage and am hoping it doesn't break me out.:fingers crossed: Anyway, so why not try both and see what your skin likes better. Remember, there's a whole world outside of bareminerals and the drugstore mmu too.

Mac works well but it is not as healthy for your skin. Bare Minerals make up makes you flawless, and like you are not wearing any make up at all, it gives you a very nice clear complexion, i know this by my experimenting with make up and Bare Minerals is soo much better for your skin anyways!

I worked for MAC and now am a makeup artist and I will tell you the truth, MAC FOUNDATIONS ARE BAD. They cover well but are full of oils and things that clog pores and make you break out. If anything only use it on special occasions. Bare Minerals is good for you and it is light enough to even stay on at night.

bare minerals works like magic, covers up everything!! perfect for the whole face! and i like to use mac for eye makeup becuase they have every color you need! so use both like me!
