I feel pretty with makeup, but I don't generally like wearing it...?

Ok, so here's the thing. I REALLY love the way I look with makeup on - A lot. Unfortunately, I'm not a huge fan of wearing makeup itself. I'm constantly paranoid that it will rub off, I can't even rub my face/eyes, and it's just not necessarily *me*.

I don't like how I look without it, though. At all. I don't feel confident without it. So do I choose confidence (with makeup), or comfort (without makeup)?

You could do it like me, bb cream, mascara, and lip stain. This is a great way to instantly look polished, without caking on tons of makeup.

Why?

Bb cream: pretty light coverage, so it feels like you're wearing nothing. Can be applied quickly with your fingers. I like it because it has several benefits:

* sunscreen (sun damage is the #1 cause of aging)

* moisturizer

* great coverage - hides all of my acne scarring and trust me, there's a lot

* evens skin tone over time

A lot of Bb creams are very greasy, don't last long, and have poor coverage (like it's meant for people who have little to no blemishes). This is why I urge you to choose the one by Clinique. It's pricey... $37, but it gives a matte finish with just a small hint of a dewy glow. It also lasts all day and doesn't rub off on clothes. This is, without a doubt the best Bb cream that I've ever tried, and I've tried a few.

Mascara:

Defines your eyes quickly, if you want to define them extra use a lash curler, but that's definitely not a requirement if you are wanting to save lots of time.

Lip stain:

Or a longwear lip gloss or lipstick. This lasts a long time, just spread it on and you're done for several hours. The reason I choose lip stain is because it is so natural looking.

If using the Bb cream alone makes your face look a little washed out (it does for some people, others not), just swipe on a little bit of blush in a shade that looks natural on you. Apply it to the apples of your cheeks and blend toward your temples.

This is the best basic way to hide blemishes (bb cream), bring out your eyes (mascara), and look feminine (lip stain), all of these options are longwear so you don't have to worry about smudging them (if you need to rub your eyes, just gently do it by not touching your lashes). You also won't need to go to the bathroom midday to touch up, you can walk with confidence knowing that your makeup is in place. And it's SO breathable! It is my favorite way to wear makeup, and I rarely get dolled up past this anymore, it meets my expectations, is affordable, and saves me a lot of time. :)

I bet you are beautiful without makeup! If you feel more confident with it on, but find it annoying in spite of that, just wear it for special occasions; i.e., going out at night. For running around in the daytime--shopping, having lunch with friends, etc., skip it. In other words, compromise!

If you're worry it's going to smudge, only wear mascara and maybe some lipgloss! That way you will still be wearing it but you won't have to worry about it getting messed up!
