Waxing, do waxing Don't make a mistake by shaving them they will grow out darker, faster and way stubbier!!!! Wax them they cost abou 5dollars to do and it doesn't hurt at all I should know because i do them myself. You can wax at home alone. That is what i do. You can bye a waxing kit at wal-mart which cost about 10 bucks. But include a lot of stuff. They give you guide which you put over your eye brow and a perfect shape occurs this pakage include about ten of them. GOOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!Another alternative could be threading this also does;nt hurt and cost abot 3 dollars this also is a good idea!!!!!!

Unless you have very sensitive skin, waxing is a quick and relatively easy alternative to plucking your eyebrows. Although it is generally best to get eyebrows waxed professionally it can be expensive - up to around $10/£6 as a general rule, although salons do differ. If you have a tighter budget, or if you are feeling fairly brave, here are some simple steps for you to try at home...

Brush the eyebrow into place with a baby toothbrush or clean mascara wand, so that their natural shape is neatly defined. Next, apply an astringent such as witch hazel to anesthetize the sensitive skin under the brow. Work out your natural brow shape by standing several feet away from a mirror, and following these simple steps…

Working out the length of the eyebrow

Hold a ruler parallel to your nose, and level with the inner corner of the eye, to work out where the brow should begin. If your eyes are close together, make the gap between the brows wider. If your eyes are far apart, don’t wax the start line of the brow too much so that they are closer together. Mark the correct point with a dot.

Working out the curve of the eyebrow

You can work out where the highest point of the curve/ arch should be by holding a ruler from the edge of the nostril past the outer edge of the iris (the colored part of the eye) and up to the eyebrow. Mark the spot with a dot.

Final planning

Now link up the dots in a gentle arch to draw on the ideal shape of the eyebrow that you want to achieve. This will give you a guideline to go by when applying the wax. You should aim for a smooth arched brow that tapers slightly at the outer ends.

2) Applying the Wax

Buy a professional waxing kit - basically a jar or tub of wax which can be warmed up in boiling water and applied with a small applicator or spatula, and (usually muslin) removal strips. Each product varies slightly, so be sure to read the manufacturers directions carefully.

Warm up the wax to optimum temperature and use the small spatula to apply a thin layer of wax to the growth. Make sure that you only use a small amount of wax on the spatula to avoid the wax dripping when it is applied. Apply wax with the hair growth under the eyebrow, (i.e. in the same direction that the hair grows in). You don’t need to use much, and you should not let the wax dry.

3) Removing the Hair

This is the painful bit! Ouch (but your eyebrows get used to it)!!

Never wax above the eyebrow, only ever shape from below. Waxing from under the brow will widen your eyes and help to get the line even. This will make you look younger and much more glamorous if done correctly! As soon as it is applied remove the wax against the hair growth, (i.e. in the opposite direction that the hair grows in). This is done by gently smoothing a piece of cotton muslin over the waxed area, pulling the skin taut with one hand, and pulling the muslin off with the other.

It is a good idea to take a little hair off at a time, especially if you have fairly this growth. You will be surprised how much difference a little hair removal will make to your appearance.

4) The Aftermath

Any straggly hairs left over after waxing can be easily plucked out using a set of good tweezers. Apply a soothing balm like tea tree oil onto the area afterwards. You should avoid direct sunlight, acid based facial treatments, and liquid makeup for several hours.

To give the gorgeous new eyebrow shape emphasis, use an eyebrow pencil or tinted brow shadow to subtly fill in any gaps, and even out the natural color tone. Don’t worry if you make mistakes, even if you have bald patches or empty spaces. Practice makes perfect, and anyway, the hair will have grown back before you know it!!

Or use this website to learn about shaping with tweezers which is a slower process and doesn't last as long but is good if you're on a tight budget:

Good luck!

I think eyebrow waxing is better. Not waxing the whole eyebrow off, of course, just enough to make them look nice. It does hurt, but only for a minute or two. It usually costs around $10-$15. I think it is worth every penny.

Shaving is probably the worst thing you can do. If you want to wax, make sure you are not menstruating. That may sound weird, but your body is more acute to pain during that time. It does hurt a little, but only for a second, and if it hurts more than that, you need to find a new waxer!

It costs around $10 at any salon or nail shop and you can be free of hair for about a week, they also trim the rest of your eyebrows so they look sleek and defined.

Waxing is better the shaving. With shaving you will need to shave once or twice a week. With waxing about once a month.

You definatly do not want to shave your brows as a form of removal. They may come back thicker and won't get to the root. Shaving as to trim long hairs is different. Plucking is ok, but people have a tendency to "over pluck" over time they may be sparce. Waxing is the best. There is a trick to that too, however. You should buy an ache kit if you are attempting to do it your self. They have templates and eye brow stencils, and directions. I get mine done professionally. It stings a bit but it goes so very fast. You'll get used to it. Cost on average $10-$15, though you can spend up to or over $100.00 at trendy boutique/salons

waxed, definitely

I do my own, not too hard once you practice a little. Just buy a brow liner just in case you go a little overboard the first couple of times. It only hurts for a second. Get the microwave wax and some cuticle stix and have a go at it. It's much easier than going to the salon and paying someone else to do it.

I'd definately say waxing is better.

Don't shave them! They'll grow back

wayy faster. Waxing doesn't hurt very

bad at all. There is just a tiny bit of pain.

The pain goes away pretty fast also.

Its not too expensive, it usualy cost between

$8-$13 depending on where you go to

get them done.

DO NOT SHAVE YOUR EYEBROWS!! Wax or pluck them...if you want more control it's best to pluck, but waxing gives you a nice clean line. It's not too expensive, but prices vary with the city you live in...it's $15 here....just make sure to go to someone who's abilities trust. It hurts a little, but it's tolerable...my eyes do water afterwards sometimes. Good luck!! Happy grooming!

WAXING!

Waxing stings a little but it goes away almost instantly. To get them done is usually about $10.

When you shave, they look really stupid when they grow back in. Waxing lasts longer too.

Shaving is a no-no. Waxing is alot safer & lasts much longer, Price depends on where you live. You can buy home waxing kits too. They are pretty simple to use. I prefer the sugar -based one's. They can be bought at beauty suplly places, discount stores & most drugstores.

waxing. always do waxing. if you shave then your hair will just grow stubbier and thick. you can make home made wax or can buy it at the store. for homemade wax you put honey, lemon and sugar. make sure the wax is thick and then warm it. place it on you and... you noe wat to do after that. at the store they only cost around 5-10 dollars. you can buy them any where. or you have another option, go to a salon and get them waxed. they do it proffecianly for 6-8 dollars. hope i've helped and GOOD LUCK!!!!

I would definitely not shave them! They will grow back thicker looking and are more noticeable when they begin to grow back. Waxing can be a little risky too, but if you get them professionally done they will most likely turn out all right.

Waxing, but just in order to shape brows by an experienced beautician. It does not hurt and the price is variable.

If you get them waxed it will last longer than shaving but you could also get threading done which takes longer but is worth it.

omg please DO NOT shave your eyebrows!!!!! because they will just grow in unevenly and in batches of hair...it's horrible upkeep and please just do not put yourself through the work of shaving, nicks, and then having to draw them on...it's not an attractive look either.

get them waxed...it's only about 10 dollars depending on where you go....you'll get a beautifully arched shape and the upkeep is simple - either just pluck the strays when they grow back in or go back and get them waxed every few weeks. and it hardly hurts - just a slight sting when they pull off the strip.

waxing is way easier, and stings for a second, it's over quick. but... could take a thin layer of skin with it, not that you will notice. i recently visited a ultra exclusive spa in arizonia (i won it from my company). i thought i would check out their waxing services. went in to have my eye brows done, and they lady, once she got me in the chair, said that since i am fair skinned, she totally recommended plucking instead. yes it did take longer, plucking each individual hair along my eye brows. but, i was not sore afterwards and was not red whatsoever.

Thread them... it looks better, hurts less, and lasts longer.

I usually thread, but had to wax one day cuz my threading place was closed. It was unbelievable how quickly they grew back, but I guess thats cuz I'm used to threading.

Oh, and they both cost the same.. around $8

waxing is better ... but it is painful ... but it is only temporal ... you will have a cleaner look ... and it lasts longer ... the price can go anywhere from 5 up to the 100's depends on where you go ... but the 5 dollar job can look just as good as a 100 dollar job ..!

Although I havn't done it myself yet, I'd say waxed, once done they'll stay nice and neat for around a mounth, and its fast and simple. It shouldn't hurt that much, but I havn't had the experience yet.

it hurts at first but you get used to it :]

As in completely remove them?! Dont!!! Get them shaped, they might never grow back if you remove them!

Oh, and never, ever, shave your eyebrows. They'll grow back stubbly and more coarse, and shaving can irritate your skin there, giving you pimples or a really nasty rash...

Waxing is way better, its a cleaner look. It doesnt "hurt" it can be irritable at times, when they pluck....but otherwise its not bad!!!

It usually costs anywhere between $12.00-$20.00 ($20.00 being pretty expensive.)

DO NOT GO WAXING. I NEVER WENT WAXING IN MY LIFE. I ONLY GET THREADED. THREADING IS ANOTHER TECHNIQUE OF HAIR REMOVAL THAT IS QUICK, CHEAP, AND PAINLESS. I SUGGEST YOU TRY IT.
