What is a better decision- Urban Decay Naked 2 or Naked Basics?

I have always love the Naked 2 but recently Urban Decay brought out the Naked Basics which has 6 of the shades from Naked 2 in it.

I love them both so much so I can't decide. My mum wouldn't let me have the Naked 2 because it is too expensive but my friend got it for Christmas so I would hopefully like to get either for my birthday. I also think the Naked Basics is a good for carrying around.

Personally I LOVE matte eyeshadow, so I'm biased, I really want Basics and I don't even really do neutral looks often. When I do though, I want them insanely neutral, I want to look amazing and makeup free, and only matte shadows can do that, shimmer always gives makeup away.



I think it's a good choice if you're younger, because not only do you not need a $50 palette until you can pay for it yourself, you'll also learn more about basic shadow techniques because you'll have to create many looks with only 6 shades. That will make you better at eye makeup in the long run, and you'll end up being someone that can take colors and make eye makeup like this:

The Naked 2. So if you think about it there are six colours in the naked basics, and 12 in the naked 2. Naked 2 palette works out £3 an eyeshadow, and a free lip junkie! (these are awesome!!) However in the naked basics its roughly £3.50 an eyeshadow with no freebies plus you dont get a brush! My mum said I couldnt have the Vice palette but I saved all my self and got a gift card then she gave in. DEFINITELY get the naked 2 its so much more value for money, your getting a brush and a lip junkie and there is way more versatility in the naked 2.

Definitely Naked 2, there are so many more colours which are better value for money and a bigger variety of shades. It comes with a free lip junkie as well!
