Question:
Foundation for the Summer time? 10 points!?
?

Okay, so I'm really confused. Every day in the summer time I've been just using concealer and a pressed powder foundation. Then, usually in the winter or fall I would use concealer and my liquid foundation, Revlon color stay in combination/oily.
I'm getting tired of using my powder and concelear, do you think it would be a good idea to use my liquid foundation? Are you supposed to wear liquid makeup more in the summer or the winter? If you wear liquid makeup in the summer will it make your skin more oily or more dry?
Any other details about makeup in the season would be very helpful! Thanks!

Personally, I use foundation more in the winter than summer because in the summer it's easier to break out in a sweat, therefore the foundation starts to run and get all oily and yucky. MAC has a nice Mineralize Skinfinish Natural powder that I use. I use it by itself in the summer and it has the nicest natural finish.

Also, in the winter when you do use liquid foundation, you can always put the powder over top of the foundation in order to give it a nice natural look, (not so shiny and fake looking).

Try using a liquid foundation in a tone to match your tanner summer skin. This means a different color. But first, use a foundation primer underneath. This covers up the oil and makes your skin soft and smooth, even after foundation.

Skip the powder. It'll make you look like a little bit too much of a cakeface. ;)

I personally hate wearing liquid foundations during the summer time cuz they sweat right off, I like using just loose powder most of the time. But if you want more coverage, I recommend Neutrogena Mineral Sheers powder foundation

you can wear it whenever you want but liquid foundations will get oily and slimy in the summer. you're supposed to wear waxier formulas because they stay on the skin without melting off in a sense. watch the first couple minutes of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGRVgTcSBaU

she talks about putting make up on in the summer for the beach. she recommends not using foundation at all. her tips definitely help though.

I'd say wear less makeup in the summer so it doesn't melt/make you oily looking. If you really want something how about tinted moisturizer, it helps protect your skin from the sun too. But your current routine sounds fine.

Use a tinted moisturizer. A liquid foundation in summer would be too heavy and just sweat off your face.
