where I live, I mean at work, going out whatever. but they complement me on my make up style and say I look nice. I heard it was high maintenance I really dont think so I just love beauty and art, style and that falls under girly girl.

Once I went without make up and some girl told me I dont need it, which I know, make up just enhances my beauty. she went on to say nobody in her family wears make up(same with mines) I was thinking to myself, I saw her mother maybe her mom can use some make up(but that's a different story). Anyway girls in my fam dont wear no make up. Maybe if they did, Do you think they will feel a lil different about them selves maybe get a lil more self confidence. feel pretty for a change.

I also would like to point out wearing make up is not just a white thing. Im pretty sure white ladies dont put on make up thinking they gonna be the next angie jolie, or kim kardashin they just doing it to make themselves feel good.

And Black women wear it in Essence, Ebony, Jet and the rest of the Black Beauty Magazine.
so dont give me they have perfect skin that's why they dont wear it b.s.

I want the real reason why Some Black women don't wear make up If Im the only women in my family that wears I think it's more of a psychological aspect behind it OR maybe since our grandma didn't wear any.

it's true that there are more cosmetics for white women than black women, because their tones are easier to match and plus it requires more pigment for the colour to show on dark skin (which in turn is more expensive for the cosmetic company).

That being said however, if you really think about it, why are the white women wearing make up? They wear blush, highlighter, and bronzer to give the illusion of sculpted cheekbones, which black women have naturally, they wear lip gloss, liner, and stick to give the illusion of full lips, again which black women already have, and mascara is used to darken the eyelashes, which black women already have. People of colour are so beautiful I am extremely envious of them.seriously. I am whiter than snow. It sucks. I look sickly.

But, even though black women are still super naturally beautiful, that doesn't mean that they can't enjoy cosmetics. In recent years there have been numerous companies coming out with make up specially designed for women of colour, like Iman cosmetics, Black Radiance, and the Covergirl queen collection. Everyone can still enhance what they have, and make themselves look STUNNING. who cares what other people think. seriously, do what you want to do.

Good makeup for women with dark skin isn't as readily available in such a wide market as it is for "white women." It's getting better, but the market caters much more to white women.

because the fact that they are dark, what is the point of wearing makeup to them, when you cant even see it. there is no point!
