Everytime I apply foundation it makes my fine line bumps and wholes appear even more. I moisturize and use primer beforehand any tips or product recommendations

I would try a different primer. A lot of times the bumps may not be acne and are actually a mildly allergic reaction to either the foundation or face primer. A great primer that is cheaper, but high quality is by boots no. 7. It's sold at target stores and retails for $10. I would also try a more hypoallergenic foundation. If you prefer high end, I would try the clinique foundations. If you prefer drugstore, I prefer revlon photo ready. I have VERY sensitive skin and these give great coverage and have never broken me out. I would also exfoliate once a week to help with the bumps and moisturize with an anti-wrinkle cream (age doesn't matter here, it helps a ton). Garnier fructise has amazing moisturizers. I would also invest in a thicker concealer for your face (not under your eyes, it will make the lines worse there) to touch up spots on your face to help blend things together. Also, never forget to set with a powder.

Ok folow these steps:

Begin with clean hands and a clean face.

Apply moisturizer appropriate to your skin type. Let it set a few minutes, particularly if your skin is oily.

Camouflage under-eye circles, blemishes, etc. with concealer.

Select a foundation that is appropriate to your skin type and the coverage you wish to achieve. The color should match your skin, disappearing when blended well.

Shake the bottle well to mix the formula. Or, simply open a stick or compact version.

Place a small amount of foundation on the back of one hand. Dip your makeup sponge or your middle finger into it.

Apply to the center of your face: cheeks, forehead, chin.

Blend out to your hair and jawline until the foundation vanishes. Pay special attention to blending around the nose, mouth and jawline.

Set the foundation with loose powder immediately following application.

What kind of foundation is it? I find that powder foundation makes my face look like that if I dont prep my skin really well beforehand. Also, it could be the application. I use a sponge because it smooths it over the skin rather than buffing it on with a brush. I used a stippling brush before and it was just a mess.
