I know this is a little early to be asking this question but I was just curious because I have recently bought the Maybelline Fit Me! Foundation with SPF 17 for the new school year coming up in September. On my First day back to school I really want to try out a make up that I found from Michelle Phan. On that day I have schools pictures which use flash and I am worried that when I take the picture my face will be really bright. I have heared on several websites that if you use SPF make up with flash photos that the picture will be bright. I am not competely sure this is true because my sister said she has used make up with SPF 20 and the pictures came out fine.
Thanks everyone for answering:)

You should be OK with that particular foundation.

Titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, two common ways to provide SPF, can cause flash bounce. MAybelline Fit Me doesn't use those ingredients, so you shouldn't have an issue.

spf17 or anything lower is fine for pictures ya it does make a white cast in photos spf that is like 20 and 30 but maybelline you should be fine. check out the revlon photo ready foundtion just for that day that foundtion in the drug store is made for picture takeings in the drug strore may get that before school starts or before picture taking.

with drugstore foundation, for flash photography, avoid anything labeled as "mineral" or "mineralized", as that denotes (in cheaper products) a shimmer or light bouncing effect. try to find a foundation with no spf. also, look at the ingredients list: if titanium dioxide, bismuth oxychloride, or silver mica is one of the top 3-5 ingredients, don't buy it. i honestly have not used a drugstore foundation in many years, but i have heard other makeup artists say that "fit me" foundation is not too terrible.don't quote me on that, as i have never used it on a client. i do know that "photo ready", despite the name, is AWFUL with flash photography. be sure to lightly contour your cheek, jaw, and temple line and powder with a mattifying powder. congrats on your graduation!
