Lets start with a fresh face your gonna need to find the right cleanser for you! I have 3 suggestions:

#1- use something for all over your face such as Olay hydrate and cleanse daily cleaser this will remove, dirt oil bacteria and makeup then use an acne spot treat ment on acne

or #2- buy the recent issue of seventeen it suggests the perfect cleanser mousiturizer tratment and mask for your skin type!

or #3 buy an acne kit like clean and clear or proactice it has everything you need right in there!

lets start with your foundation because like a house its the base if its bad everything is wrong! Get a tinted moistureizer and apply with a make up sponge (covergirl has both that i use) or a mineral powder (neutrogena has one i use) i use the tinted mouistureizer in the winter becuase myskin gets dry and i use a mineral powder in the summer because it stays on better throuht sweat ;) have someone come with you to help you choose the best shade (covergirl.com can color match you if you make a profile)

Get a natural glow!choose a blush ( light pink or peach colors are flattering) put it on the apples of your cheeks (smile!!!!!) and a bronzer (get a not so orange color a more tan brownish color ) for a natural sunny bronze tan, apply to your cheeks, forehead, chin and the bridge of your nose for a very natural look! apply these with a blush brush (covergirl has one)

Eye time! get a bronzeish or light gold or creamy brown shimmery eyeshadow apply it to your lids (covergirl eye enhancers in shimmering sands) and line under your eye with a black or black brown eyeliner! Get lushous lashes i use two different kinds of mascara cuz im such a nerd lol i use a coat of covergirl lashblast mascara then two coats of covergirl magnafying mascara When putting mascara on make sure you dont put to much on or it may clump I think this works really good!...give it a try!

lips! because your 14 (like me) you want to go with a pretty kissable gloss pinks peaches and nudes dont seem fake and are very pretty my fave pink drugstore gloss is covergirl fruitspritzer in rasberry splash (looks very inteence in the container but is so cute) wanna try something else natural looking?.... pink stained lips! (not really stained) puy a pink lip stick in a light natural color and make a glob with it on the back of your hand at it in layers to your lips patting in becasue of the layers it will look natural instead of just from the tube :) or you can buy a pink lip stain but these are harder to come buy... very cute!

Nighttime! make sure all your make up is off by washing your face and remove your eyemakeup with eyemake up remover there are so many different kinds covergirl and neutrogena both have ones and lancome has an amazeing one (but this cant be bought at a drugstore) goodluck!

So thats my make up rotine im your age so i know it looks natural and is very cute good luck!

Here is what I would say...

1. Every morning and night, wash your face with a mild cleanser. Try Cetaphil. After that, apply a basic toner. Try Neutrogena Deep Clean Invigorating Dual Action Toner. Then, apply an oil-free moisturizer containing SPF 15. Once a week, use a facial mask!

2. Now for the makeup!!! Here's a look....

*Concealer, only where you need it-Revlon Colorstay Blemish concealer

*Blush-Covergirl Cheekers Blush in Classic Pink

*Eyeshadow-Loreal Wear Infinite Eye Shadow Singles in Buttercup

*Eyeliner, applied to outer 3/4 of top eyelid in a thin line and smudged-N.Y.C. Brow and Liner Pencil in black

*Mascara-Loreal Voluminous, Revlon 3D Extreme, Maybelline Great Lash, etc

*Lip Gloss-Covergirl Wetslicks Fruit Spritzers in Guava Splash

On Covergirl's website, there is a great thing where you can figure out all the different colors for your skin tone-it's great and free! Also, in the store, there are often charts to help on which colors to pick.

I hope I helped!!

Great question!

Skin care is really important. You need to invest in a cleanser that takes of makeup as well, and a moisturizer. Try to get a moisturizer with sunscreen, so that way you are hydrating your skin as well as protecting it, without the extra steps. All the other stuff is just fluff (toners, etc), and you can pick that kind of thing up whenever you have extra money.

For skincare brands, I would recommend:

Neutrogena, Cetaphyl, Clearasel (if you have acne prone skin).

Cleanse and moisturize morning and night.

For Makekup, I would recommend:

tinted moisturizer to even out skin tone or a powdered foundation in a compact you can carry with you;

a nude/pinkish lip gloss;

a black/brown mascara to use on top lashes only;

a bronzer that you can use all over your face and as a blush

I wish I knew what color of skin you had, but all I can say determine wether or not your skin has golden or pink undertones. If it's golden, choose warm colors like bronzes, browns, peaches, etc. If it's more pinkish, choose cooler colors like pink, pale purples, greys, etc.

Keep all receipts, as I think CVS and Rite Aid will return products.

I hope this helps, good luck!

Try to wash your face twice a day. A lot of face washes work well. Try not to switch face washes often, it's bad for your skin. Find a product that works and stick with it. I also have a tube of regular old drugstore brand acne cream for whenever i get a pimple.

As far as makeup goes.

Use a black eyeliner right above the top eyelashes and right below the bottom ones. Use A base, Just a powder that matches your skin tone and apply it to your face and neck. For eyeshadow colors because you have brown eyes you can use just about any colors. So expiriement and see what looks good. But since you are just starting to where makeup don't do anything to bright. That will be a big change for you and everyone that knows you. Try a light pink, shiny lip gloss. All of that you can easily find at a drugstore. Hope I helped!!

okay,

everything i use you can get at a normal walmart, target, walgreens, etc.

i would wash your face day and night with the cetaphil face wash. if skin starts getting bad pimples then begin using any kind of a facial scrub for the wash and apply any kind of benzoil peroxide dry up cream to the problem areas whenever you're at home.

before going out, if your skin doesnt have any oil or acne issues i would first apply an oil free moisturizer, neutrogena has good ones.

after that (if you used the moisturizer or not) start with a light colored blush, the kinds that are oil free and have more than one tone are the best

next apply a neutral all over mineral based powder foundation with a natural brush

after that use a two tone eyeshadow, darker colors in the crease and outside corner of your eyes and the lighter color on the inside corner

also use a very light, basically a white eyeshadow directly under the outside portion of your eyebrow to high light the brow bone

the only things left are to apply a dark eyeliner directly where the lashes root along the entire top and outside half of your eyelids

last but not least a natural gloss or light lipstick with shimmer and you will look wonderful!!

To help you out, everything I'm listing is cheap and found at the drugstore. ; - )

Skin routine:

1. Use a gentle scrub in the shower once a week. (Try Aveeno Brightening Daily Scrub or Clean and Clear.)

2. Use a gentle cleanser every time you shower. I love Cetaphil's.

3. Once you get out of the shower, moisturize. I use Cetaphil moisturizer with SPF15.

That's it for skin, unless you break out. Then, use benzoyl peroxide cream.

Makeup Routine:

1. Moisturize (with SPF)

2. Cover any blemishes with foundation. (Maybelline Dream Matte Mouse or L'Oreal Truematch are the best!) To find your shade, apply it on your jawline if you can, otherwise, hold the bottle up to your face.

3. Mascara (Maybelline's green and pink tube.)

4. Neutral eyeshadow (try Covergirl products.)

5. Blush (Rimmel's or Physician's Formula)

6. Lipgloss (Covergirl Fruit Spritzers)

Since you've never worn makeup before, I kept it simple and natural. Hope this helps!

Washing your face i recommend Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser...you can find it at most drug stores or target

make up- At cvs or any other store you can find cheepbut good products( Almay, Cover Girl, Boots no. 7,L'Oreal

Wet N' Wild, Maybelline, Revlon )

I suggest cover girl, Wet N' Wild or L'Oreal because they are cheep and are pretty good quality.

You should wear black mascara, any color eye shadow {depending on what color outfit you are wearing}, black pencil under the eye, and a light blush. You don't want the blush to be to dark so get a light color. If you are getting foundation I suggest Revlon because you caan adjust the dial to your skin tone. It also has Spf 15 in it.

The price range will be from $2.99 to $14.99 for each item.

hey yeah, i don't think you need make-up. i'm 15 and i still oppose to wearing make up like on a daily basis, only for special occasions.

however if you want to you can:

for basic eyes, just an eyelash curler and a nice mascara (you can go inexpensively anything in drugstores (i use maybelline curl power xxl in brown black, it's nice b/c you don't need an eyelash curler) and maybe some eyeliner. just be careful w/ the eyeliner b/c you don't want raccoon eyes.

you can always do foundation. i recommend mineral, it's free of nasty chemical stuff and always remember to use spf with it. like underneath before you apply foundation. if you want to hide imperfections use concealer that either matches your skin tone or like green for covering acne (it neutralizes the color and really works! i sue the physicians formula kind).

but i don't recommend foundation b/c being natural is always better. also your skin can breathe and you dont have to worry about your face melting off.

and lip gloss and blush are always nice. go for natural tones!

also if u want to figure out colors there should always be mirrors around and take the bottle in a well lit area, preferably close to the window for more natural light and like compare ti to your face and neck.

and for washing your face, eye make up remover for your eyes and just a regular facewash for everything else :D

to keep you face clean use neutrogena any neutrogena product will work so you wont get any acne and keep your face smooth and clean,

a normal make up routine for any girl is lipgloss a bit of blush that goes with you and mascara maybe some eyeliner but not too much

and depending on your skin tone you cna see what colors can go with you

it's good to wash your face however it doesn't completely cure acne and whatnot, the makeup you use for your skin tone??well it just depends, me? i put on what i think would look best, or my fav. color, or a color that's in my outfit, i despise foundation so i never where that, usually a nice light pink will look good (for eyeshadow) u wanna make sure u don't over do it. if i were u i wouldn't where lipstick it tends to make your lips dry, i prefer lipgloss, if u where eyeliner don't where too mmuch because it can make you look trampy, also try putting on a cute outfit and add some makeup then ask your friends and family what they think nd if they have any suggestons, i hope this helped you!

hi girl am here to help yah use make-up that is natural and brings out your beauty, don't resort to heavy make-up use lipgloss that is not shinny and use neutrogena products they are the best and are cost effective, to know whether the products go with your skin tone apply to your skin before u buy it or use a sample of it on your skin near to the area where your neck and face meet. At age 14, where your skin looks healthy and young the best choice is next to natural products. Make sure to always keep your skin clean and moisturize always.

If you have a light skin tone go with real natural colors like pearl to light bronze and brown, also to top those off a tan/brown eyeliner and a mascara that fills ur lashes, no blush or anything!

if you have dark skin tone go with blues browns and purples, uses black eyeliner and still black filling mascara

if you want to wash ur face for something smooth use almay 3 step system i use it everyday and my face is so smooth and clear, i am 15 and have been wearing makeup for 2 1/2 years also with lighter skin use a light sky blue and with darker skin use a darker blue!

good luck! anymore questions just email me at

i'm 14 too and this is what i do on a daily basis :)

-Neutrogena face wash.

it makes your face oil-free all day and won't overdry your skin :)

-Eyeshadow.

if you have blue eyes you should wear pinks, lilacs.

brown eyes you should wear blues and purples.

hazel should wear earthy tones.

eyeliner: thin layer on top and maybe some on your waterline if you know how and have a steady hand :)

mascara: dont use waterproof unless you plan on washing it off everyday.. b/c if you don't your eyelashes will get thin.

blush: go for a peach color. it's very natural :)

lips: go for a nude color or a soft pink.

dont wear foundation

ok.....wash your face-i use this clean and clear deep action cleanser

then moisturize- i cant tell which one because i cant find a good one, i had the perfect one but it was on sale and i ran out of it and i can never find it again.

apply mascara- i dont curl it because my eyelashes dont curl well. i sue the purple covergirl

eyeliner- i apply it on top, and half way-3/4 on bottom. i use covergirl but it smears alot, so i am going to switch to covergril, this one that is smear proof or w/e

lip gloss-usually a pink or red that doesnt leave too much color. or vaseline or chapstick.

i am almost 13, and i wear that.

Start out with a bit of make up, mascara, lipgloss, LITTLE eyeshadow (in a neutral such as a shimmery gold)

You can also you a LITTLE bit of foundation (try to match it as closely as possible to your skin tone).

Later you can add a BIT of eyeliner not to much or it looks like a raccoon.

-Maybelline Collasol (sp?) Mascara is great! I use it.

-Jane Cosmetics ColorSticks Eye Crayon in Dreamworld is good to for a bit of color for your eyelids (don't go overboard)

-Everyone is different with concealer so try different ones until you find one that you like. But try to go with as little as possible. :)

-Lipgloss, covergirl is great for a bit of lip color

-As for colors, neutrals are the way to go and work for everyone. Unless you would like to stand out.

i have bare minerals. works very well, covers up flaws, ect. you need a good cleanser, the best cleanser is neutrogena, i think, it works wonderfully, you need to wash your face everyday to take off your makeup and the end of the day. i wear eyeliner, just put it on right under the eye, i wouldnt use liquid eyeliner if your just starting to wear it because it can get in your eye

you should wear light pink blush and clear lipgloss

wash, tone, moisturize. exfoliate once a week

aveeno's pretty good

go to the drugstore and hold up the bottle next to your face and choose the one thats closest to your skin tone and make sure you know what type your skin is (dry, oily, combination)

my makeup routine is very simple:

maybelline mineral power concealer- ivory (makes you look more awake-- apply under eyes if you have dark circles)

neutrogena lip gloss- coral (gives you AMAZING lushous lips)

covergirl shimmer- champagne (gives you a natural glow)

almay eyeliner- brown (smudge it along eyelash line-- very subtle but makes people notice you)

washing face:

i really like olay face cloths- they allow you to foam up this cloth and it gets rid of all dead skin and gives you a glow)--- for sensitive skin(not for people with acne) very gentle

cetaphil face cream (green tube)- gentle doesnt make you break out---- fantastic, fantastic, fantastic

if you do end up breaking out i recommend OXY spot treatment- apply to pimples and the next day they will be noticible smaller (i just got this product yesterday and i am already seeing incredible results)

use neutrogena 85 helioplex sunscreen- the best out there for only 8 dollars--- oil free, sweatproof, wont clog pores, and very long lasting, broad sprectrum UVA and UVB protection, and most importantly sheer----- trust me this doesnt look greasy at all even if you glob it on!!!

shower products:

garnier fructis strength and repair line- makes your hair sooooo silky

cetaphil gentle skin cleanser- use with a pouf and exfoliate the bumps on your body and they will soften with time and eventually go away-- adds slight mousture to skin --- great for dry and sensitive skin (will for sure improve quality and appearance of skin)

this is the whole skin routine for me, it may seem complicated, but it is a very realistic routine that i have found to be very simplistic--- all of this is available at almost any drug store, and you can find all of this at a target or super target.

skin tone colors- any skin tone can take almost any color

it tends to work out that darker skin tones can take more make up and colors

my skin is very ivory so i dont use that much color, but when i do i like to have to basic colors in my outfit then a pop of color--- just with my make i like to add the pop of color with my lip gloss

hope this helps, good luck!

use proactiv for a face wash.

then for make up go to mac and find your skin color for foundation. but never use a lot. and then use a lil mascara (just enough to curl your lashes) then use a light color on your lids. like a shimmery color. and eyeliner just on the bottom.

=)

wellll, if you are fair (blonde etc), go for natural looking colours.

you can wear...

- eyeliner - apply to your top lid and then underneath your bottom eyelashes (the bottom gets noticed more).

- lipgloss - again, natural light colours!

- eyeshadow - blue eyes; blue, green, pink, yellow, brown eyes; brown, gold, silver, dark green.

if you are a brunette or have dark/black hair, go for darker colours to bring out your eyes and hair. black eyeliner is great for this - get a rimmel one from superdrug, they're fantastic! :D
